The Spatial Data Library at Aalborg University, Department of Development and Planning contains a number of data for the use of students and employees in connection with education and research. During the last ten years the research groups of the Department have increasingly demanded digital spatial data for teaching and research. This has meant an increasing need of easy access to the basic data. In the light of this the establishment of the so-called digital spatial data library was initiated. So far agreements have been concluded with a number of data suppliers on making data available for education and research in the Department. It is the purpose of the Spatial Data Library to support research and the continued development of the educational programmes of the Department with accessible spatial data and expertise to improve the spatial data for a given task and solve a given problem. This homepage primarily addresses the employees and students of our Department, and the intention is to create a survey of the different types of data of the Library and to introduce a number of tools for processing, use and visualisation of these data. |
